Anne Enright

Anne Enright was born in Dublin in 1962, studied English and Philosophy at Trinity College, Dublin, and went on to study for an MA in Creative Writing at the University of East Anglia.

She won the 2007 Man Booker Prize for Fiction for her novel The Gathering.

Her other titles include The Forgotten Waltz, Yesterday’s Weather, Making Babies: Stumbling into Motherhood and The Portable Virgin.

She has been published in The New Yorker, London Review of Books and Granta magazines.

Other awards include 2010 Irish Book of the Decade (Bord Gáis Energy Irish Book Awards) for The Gathering and the Whitbread Novel Award for What Are You Like?
